A roundtable discussion led by the LSA committee and others on a series of laryngology topics and development of practice guidelines related to minimum standards in stroboscopy (ENTS & SP) and then in-office procedures, and sterilisation (ENTS) and clinical guidelines for speech pathologists working in voice and laryngology (SP) as a concurrent session.
Cost- LSA members $85, non LSA members $250
This promises to be a highly stimulating and interactive day with opportunity to hear and contribute to current evidence and thinking on the following topics: the assessment & management of glottic insufficiency, dysphagia, papilloma, scar and hidden pathology, vocal fold paralysis, subglottic stenosis, vocal cord dysfunction and cough, considerations in paediatric laryngology, laryngeal imaging including stroboscopy, injectables, phonosurgical techniques, laryngeal reinnervation and perceptual & instrumental assessment of voice. Complex cases will also be presented if time permits.
The afternoon session will focus on the preliminary development of practice guidelines and minimum standards in stroboscopy, in-office procedures, sterilisation and scope of practice and clinical guidelines for speech pathologists working with voice, vocal cord dysfunction and cough.
