POSTPONEMENT - 4th Laryngology Society of Australasia Conference

13 November 2020

It is with regret that we announce the postponement of the Laryngology Society of Australasia's biennial meeting, scheduled to take place in Auckland, New Zealand on the 13-15 November 2020.

The LSA Executive Committee and Meeting Planning Committee have unanimously agreed that a postponement of 12 months is appropriate. Due to the current safety issues related to travel and close contact brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, we believe it is not an appropriate time to undertake this conference where so many valued members and experts in the field of Laryngology will be in close proximity. We are therefore deferring the meeting for 12 months and intend to provide further information regarding a new date and venue as time progresses.

Our Speakers health is a key priority and with all traveling Internationally we have a responsibility to protect them by avoiding unnecessary travel in the current climate. We hope that they will all be able to adjust travel plans to attend the conference in 2021.

LSA values the contact and collegiality that a face-to-face meeting of this nature provides and we look forward to again being able to meet when the global COVID19 crisis has passed. We thank all our members and supporters for their understanding and patience as we reset our plans. We will be in contact with updates as they come to hand and the website will be updated to reflect this decision and any further news of the rescheduled meeting.

With best wishes for you and your families to stay safe.
