Open to ENT surgeons, speech pathologists and voice scientists

The Laryngology Society of Australia and New Zealand, Incorporated (LSANZ) was formed in 2012 to support and promote laryngology in Australia and New Zealand for Otolaryngologists, Speech Pathologists and Voice Scientists.

Membership of the LSANZ is open to professionals working in the field of laryngology and related fields who have an active interest in the work and aims of the society.

Applicants must nominate themselves for membership by completing the online electronic nomination form. No sponsorship is required, but membership is subject to approval by the Executive and ratification by an AGM/EGM.

MEMBERSHIP TYPES

Full membership - $154 inc GST* per year

Associate membership - $103 inc GST* per year

Trainee membership - $75 inc GST* per year

Membership is annual, paid 12-month rolling. * Please note that a 3% payment fee will apply.

Membership Categories

  1. Recognised medical specialists who are Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in OHNS, or who possess an equivalent qualification and are acknowledged as specialists in OHNS in Australia or New Zealand by the Australian Medical Council or the Medical Council of New Zealand, and who are Members in good standing of the Australasian Society of OHNS or the New Zealand Society of OHNS.

  2. Speech Pathologists eligible for membership in Speech Pathology Australia or the New Zealand Society Speech-Language Therapists Association.

  3. Approved persons working as Voice Scientists in Australia or New Zealand.

Overseas ENTs and speech pathologists along with voice scientists or other medical professionals outside OHNS with an interest in Laryngology or person who does not meet the above criteria providing that they have a connection to Laryngology in Australasia – subject to approval by the Society Board.

From time to time the Board may propose persons to membership who do not meet the above criteria providing that person has a connection to Laryngology.

Specialists practising in Specialities other than OHNS or Speech Pathology may be so considered under this category.

The LSANZ is Australia and New Zealand’s leading authority on diseases of the throat. A recognised forum for research and debate for medical professionals, source of expert opinion and where general public will go for direction and expertise.

Membership is open to all medical, scientific and health-focused professionals interested in diseases of the larynx.
